Atiku's dream of having a world class educational system that would benefit young people had come true. The university boasts of a successful American system of education. Over 2000 young people from Africa and beyond join the university every year.
Fela Kuti's chosen path was in his genes. Many across the continent and the world are still interested in tales that are now easily available at a simple click of a mouse. With a picture of his background one would not be so wrong to assume that rebellion was a part of his DNA. He was born on October 15, 1938 in Abeokuta, Nigeria. His parents were political activists. His mother, Funmilayo Anikulapo Kuti was a feminist and anti-colonialist. His father, Reverend Israel Oludotun Ransome-Kuti, was the first president of the Nigerian teachers' union.

Until the last decade, the Christian and Muslim communities sharing the Plateau State in Nigeria have been living in harmony. In September 2001 Muslim-Christian violence erupted in Jos, an area mostly dominated by Christians. An estimated 1,000 people were killed. We are working here now in the positive angle of the Christians/Muslims story and the viable solutions for bringing again peace and unity to the community.
