Until the last decade, the Christian and Muslim communities sharing the Plateau State in Nigeria have been living in harmony. In September 2001 Muslim-Christian violence erupted in Jos, an area mostly dominated by Christians. An estimated 1,000 people were killed. We are working here now in the positive angle of the Christians/Muslims story and the viable solutions for bringing again peace and unity to the community. The roots involved on the Plateau State problem are not just about religion or races. Land use, and political favoritism is present as well.
