By 1918 over half the cars in America were Model Ts and when production stopped in 1927, over 15 million had been built - a record, which stood for over 45 years. 5 Ford was changing the face of the automotive industry, and by 1932 Ford was manufacturing on third of all the world's cars, but it was the Model T that made motoring accessible to the masses, famously available in 'any colour you like, so long as it's black.'
