There are countless forms of communication. From sign language, the media - newspapers, radio, television, body language, talking, and more modern forms such as face book, you tube, twitter and so many more. Communication is a tool with which we exercise our influence on others, bring out changes in our and others' attitudes, motivate the people around us and establish and maintain relationships with them. The transfer of complex information, ideas and concepts from one individual to another, or to a group, underwent extreme evolution since prehistoric times and it is still dramatically changing. The phrase 'the media' began to be used in the 1920s. The notion of 'mass media' was generally restricted to print media up until the post - Second World War, when radio, television 7 and video were introduced. The inventions of communication tools such as the printing press and the television have allowed mankind to greater expand the communication field, and send messages out to thousands of people at a time. A specifically monumental invention in the communication field was the telephone, which was invented by Alexander Graham Bell. The world's communication has been upgraded greatly by Alexander Graham Bell. Before the invention of telephones mail was a large part of cultural society. This was mainly because it was the only way of communication. Another pivotal moment for communication has been the invention of the world wide web - or 'internet' by Tim Berners - Lee, which has changed the face of modern communication forever. We now commonly can use tools such as Skype, facebook, youtube, instagram, e-mail and a myriad of other internet tools to send pictures, videos, comments and message to one another, increasing our communication spectrum, and allowing each individual to reach a wide audience on the interwebs.
