SoLa: Louisiana Water Stories. The idea was to make a film about the complicated relationship between man and water but they had no idea that their reporting would conclude with the worst manmade ecologic disaster ever. It's not news that water is a significant issue in Southern Louisiana. Most of the region lays below sea level and water - rivers, creeks, bayous, swamps, the Mississippi River, the Gulf of Mexico - is never out of sight. And everyone in SoLa has a water story, or ten.
