Road To The World Cup

It seems hard to believe, with the phenomena that it has become in modern times, that the FIFA World Cup began as a competition between only four European nations. Since the event has been staged in a different host country every four years, its popularity and appeal have grown to epic proportions. To put in a bid to host the World Cup, a nation has to meet certain requirements; such has having enough venues to cover the large amount of games; and the size and quality of each venue. Some other considerations are the visiting teams_ accommodation, and of course, what the plans the country has to ensure the safety and security of the FIFA World Cup.
