Tessa admits her past relationship with Jaime to explain to Miguel the animosity between their family and the Alferos’. Jaime does the same to Ella. Ella and Miguel relay the discrepancies in the accounts they heard to their respective parent. Jaime confronts Tessa and their argument ends in a fiery kiss. Speaking of Tessa, she insists on meeting a mysterious caller claiming to have information on Melissa. She overrides Daniel’s objection by involving the police. Meanwhile, Ella, Patricia, and Don Fernando are held hostage by a man alleging Aragon Mining is responsible for his family’s misfortune. The brothers Ramirez end up getting involved for Red is tasked to cover the story while Miguel was approached by the hostage taker’s niece. But Don Fernando suddenly suffers an attack. Would Ella be able to convince their captor to allow her to leave to get her grandfather’s medicine?
