What an opportune time for Lyka’s acute hearing to manifest itself. It enables her to hear Noah from the adjoining men’s room admit he might be falling for her. Meanwhile, Noah’s much-anticipated foray into a House of Elle warehouse did not yield any drugs. Instead the raid turned into a nightmare as the situation got out of hand and resulted in the death of several men, including Noah’s best friend, Choy. It turns out the incursion is only part of Noah’s training to test the young soldier’s reaction to adversity and for Choy’s death to make him hardhearted. Quite the opposite, the tragedy paves the way for Lyka and Noah to get close. Lyka manages to penetrate the young man’s defenses and offer him much-needed comfort and support.
